RESUMO

Spin in semiconductors facilitates magnetically controlled optoelectronic and spintronic devices. In metal halide perovskites (MHPs), doping magnetic ions is proven to be a simple and efficient approach to introducing a spin magnetic momentum. In this work, we present a facile metal ion doping protocol through the vapor-phase metal halide insertion reaction to the chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown ultrathin Cs3BiBr6 perovskites. The Fe-doped bismuth halide (Fe:CBBr) perovskites demonstrate that the iron spins are successfully incorporated into the lattice, as revealed by the spin-phonon coupling below the critical temperature Tc around 50 K observed through temperature-dependent Raman spectroscopy. Furthermore, the phonons exhibit significant softening under an applied magnetic field, possibly originating from magnetostriction and spin exchange interaction. The spin-phonon coupling in Fe:CBBr potentially provides an efficient way to tune the spin and lattice parameters for halide perovskite-based spintronics.

The exposure to cooking organic aerosols (COA) is closely related to people's daily lives. Despite extensive investigations into COA's model compounds like oleic acid, the intricacies of heterogeneous ozonolysis of real COA and the effects of ambient conditions like humidity remain elusive. In this work, the ozonolysis of COA proxies from heated peanut oil emissions was investigated using diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFTS) spectroscopy, and proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometer (PTR-ToF-MS). We found that humidity hinders the reaction between ozone and CC double bonds due to the competitive adsorption of water and ozone on COA. Although visible light has little influence on the ozonolysis of COA in the absence of humidity, the ozonolytic CO production is significantly promoted by visible light in the presence of humidity. It may be attributed to the formation of water-derived reactive oxygen species (ROS, mainly HO•) from the photosensitization of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in COA. We also found that humidity can enhance the depolymerization of carboxylic acid dimers and hydrolysis of intrinsic acetals in the COA. Moreover, humidity promotes the release of VOCs during both the dark and light ozonolysis of COA. This work reveals the important roles of humidity-responsive and photo-responsive components in COA during its ozonolysis, and the change in VOC release may guide the control of human VOC exposure in indoor air.

Background: BRCA2 plays a key role in homologous recombination. However, information regarding its mutations in Chinese patients with breast cancer remains limited. Objectives: This study aimed to assess the clinicopathological characteristics of BRCA2 mutation breast cancer and explore the mutation's effect on hormone receptor (HR)-positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative breast cancer survival in China. Design: This hospital-based cohort study prospectively included 629 women with breast cancer diagnosed from 2008 to 2023 at Zhejiang Cancer Hospital in China. Methods: We compared the clinicopathological characteristics and metastatic patterns and analysed the invasive disease-free survival (iDFS), distant relapse-free survival (DRFS) and first-line progression-free survival (PFS1) of patients with HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer according to BRCA2 mutations. Results: Among the 629 patients, 78 had BRCA2 mutations (12.4%) and 551 did not (87.6%). The mean age at diagnosis was lower in the BRCA2 mutation breast cancer group than in the non-mutation breast cancer group (38.91 versus 41.94 years, p = 0.016). BRCA2 mutation breast cancers were more likely to be lymph node-positive than non-mutation breast cancers (73.0% versus 56.6%, p = 0.037). The pathological grade was higher in 47.1% of BRCA2 mutation breast cancers than in 29.6% of non-mutation breast cancers (p = 0.014). The proportions of patients with BRCA2 mutations who developed contralateral breast cancer (19.2% versus 8.8%, p = 0.004), breast cancer in the family (53.8% versus 38.3%, p = 0.009) and ovarian cancer in the family (7.6% versus 2.4%, p = 0.022) were higher than those of patients without the mutation. The median follow-up time was 92.78 months. Multivariate analysis showed that BRCA2 mutation was not associated with poorer iDFS [hazard ratio = 0.9, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 0.64-1.27, p = 0.56] and poorer distant relapse-free survival (DRFS) (hazard ratio = 1.09, 95% CI = 0.61-1.93, p = 0.76). There was no significant difference between the two groups with regard to metastatic patterns in the advanced disease setting. In the first-line metastatic breast cancer setting, PFS1 expression was broadly similar between the two groups irrespective of chemotherapy or endocrine therapy. Conclusion: HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer with BRCA2 mutations differs from those without mutations in clinical behaviour and reflects more aggressive tumour behaviour. Our results indicate that BRCA2 mutations have no significant effect on the survival of Chinese women with HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer.

BACKGROUND: Supportive oncology (SO) care reduces symptom severity, admissions, and costs in patients with advanced cancer. This study examines the impact of SO care on utilization and costs. METHODS: Retrospective analysis of utilization and costs comparing patients enrolled in SO versus three comparison cohorts who did not receive SO. Using claims, the authors estimated differences in health care utilization and cost between the treatment group and comparison cohorts. The treatment group consisting of patients treated for cancer at an National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center who received SO between January 2018 and December 2019 were compared to an asynchronous cohort that received cancer care before January 2018 (n = 60), a contemporaneous cohort with palliative care receiving SO care from other providers in the Southeastern Pennsylvania region during the program period (n = 86), and a contemporaneous cohort without palliative care consisting of patients at other cancer centers who were eligible for but did not receive SO care (n = 393). RESULTS: At 30, 60, and 90 days post-enrollment into SO, the treatment group had between 27% and 70% fewer inpatient admissions and between 16% and 54% fewer emergency department visits (p < .05) compared to non-SO cohorts. At 90 days following enrollment in SO care, total medical costs were between 4.4% and 24.5% lower for the treatment group across all comparisons (p < .05). CONCLUSIONS: SO is associated with reduced admissions, emergency department visits, and total costs in advanced cancer patients. Developing innovative reimbursement models could be a cost-effective approach to improve care of patients with advanced cancer.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Patients with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) suffer from severe myocardial injury during daunorubicin (DNR)-based chemotherapy and are at high risk of cardiac mortality. The crosstalk between tumour cells and cardiomyocytes might play an important role in chemotherapy-related cardiotoxicity, but this has yet to be demonstrated. This study aimed to identify its underlying mechanism and explore potential therapeutic targets. METHODS: Cardiac tissues were harvested from an AML patient after DNR-based chemotherapy and were subjected to single-nucleus RNA sequencing. Cardiac metabolism and function were evaluated in AML mice after DNR treatment by using positron emission tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and stable-isotope tracing metabolomics. Plasma cytokines were screened in AML mice after DNR treatment. Genetically modified mice and cell lines were used to validate the central role of the identified cytokine and explore its downstream effectors. RESULTS: In the AML patient, disruption of cardiac metabolic homeostasis was associated with heart dysfunction after DNR-based chemotherapy. In AML mice, cardiac fatty acid utilization was attenuated, resulting in cardiac dysfunction after DNR treatment, but these phenotypes were not observed in similarly treated tumour-free mice. Furthermore, tumour cell-derived interleukin (IL)-1α was identified as a primary factor leading to DNR-induced cardiac dysfunction and administration of an anti-IL-1α neutralizing antibody could improve cardiac functions in AML mice after DNR treatment. CONCLUSIONS: This study revealed that crosstalk between tumour cells and cardiomyocytes during chemotherapy could disturb cardiac energy metabolism and impair heart function. IL-1α neutralizing antibody treatment is a promising strategy for alleviating chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity in AML patients.

Purinergic signaling plays a causal role in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease. Among purinoceptors, only P2Y14R is positively correlated with inflammatory score in mucosal biopsies of ulcerative colitis patients, nevertheless, the role of P2Y14R in ulcerative colitis remains unclear. Here, based on the over-expressions of P2Y14R in the intestinal epithelium of mice with experimental colitis, we find that male mice lacking P2Y14R in intestinal epithelial cells exhibit less intestinal injury induced by dextran sulfate sodium. Mechanistically, P2Y14R deletion limits the transcriptional activity of cAMP-response element binding protein through cAMP/PKA axis, which binds to the promoter of Ripk1, inhibiting necroptosis of intestinal epithelial cells. Furthermore, we design a hierarchical strategy combining virtual screening and chemical optimization to develop a P2Y14R antagonist HDL-16, which exhibits remarkable anti-colitis effects. Summarily, our study elucidates a previously unknown mechanism whereby P2Y14R participates in ulcerative colitis, providing a promising therapeutic target for inflammatory bowel disease.

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs), circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), and extracellular vehicles (EVs) have received significant attention in recent times as emerging biomarkers and subjects of transformational studies. The three main branches of liquid biopsy have evolved from the three primary tumor liquid biopsy detection targets-CTC, ctDNA, and EVs-each with distinct benefits. CTCs are derived from circulating cancer cells from the original tumor or metastases and may display global features of the tumor. ctDNA has been extensively analyzed and has been used to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of neoplastic diseases. EVs contain tumor-derived material such as DNA, RNA, proteins, lipids, sugar structures, and metabolites. The three provide different detection contents but have strong complementarity to a certain extent. Even though they have already been employed in several clinical trials, the clinical utility of three biomarkers is still being studied, with promising initial findings. This review thoroughly overviews established and emerging technologies for the isolation, characterization, and content detection of CTC, ctDNA, and EVs. Also discussed were the most recent developments in the study of potential liquid biopsy biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, therapeutic monitoring, and prognosis prediction. These included CTC, ctDNA, and EVs. Finally, the potential and challenges of employing liquid biopsy based on CTC, ctDNA, and EVs for precision medicine were evaluated.

UV-B radiation and water deficit can challenge Pinot noir growth and fruit quality. The aim of this work is to determine the effects of UV-B and water deficit on the physiological indices, amino acids, and volatile compounds of Pinot noir vine and fruit. The results showed that both individual and combined treatments caused a decrease in the leaf SPAD, with the largest amplitude being observed in the combined treatment. Water deficit also decreased the leaf water potential and increased the juice δ13C‱ at harvest, which was the opposite of the latter under UV-B radiation. Interestingly, most of the physiological indices under combined stresses did not show significant changes compared with that under no UV-B and the well-watered control treatment. Moreover, the concentrations of amino acids and volatile compounds in the berries were determined at harvest. The amino acid contents were significantly increased by the combined treatment, particularly proline (Pro), aspartate (Arg), alanine (Ala), and threonine (Thr). There were slight increases in volatile compounds. This research substantially contributed to improve our scientific understanding of UV-B and water deficit responses in an important commercial species. In addition, it highlighted some future research to produce high-quality wines with the anticipated specific characteristics.

OBJECTIVE: The aim of the work described here was to develop and validate a predictive model for cytokeratin 7 (CK7) expression in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) patients by combining multimodal ultrasound diagnostic techniques. METHODS: This retrospective study enrolled 157 surgically confirmed ccRCC patients. All patients underwent pre-operative multimodal ultrasound diagnostic examinations, including B-mode ultrasound (US), color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS). The patients were randomly divided into a training group (103 cases) and a testing group (54 cases). Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed in the training group to identify independent indicators associated with CK7 positivity. These indicators were included in the predictive model. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and calibration curves were used to evaluate the model's discriminative ability and accuracy. Decision curve analysis (DCA) and nomogram visualization were used to assess the clinical utility of the predictive model. RESULTS: Univariate logistic regression analysis revealed that US and CDFI observations were not correlated with CK7 expression and could not predict it. Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified age (odds ratio [OR] = 0.953, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.909-0.999), wash-in pattern (OR = 0.180, 95% CI: 0.063-0.513) and enhancement homogeneity (OR = 11.610, 95% CI: 1.394-96.675) as independent factors related to CK7 positivity in ccRCC. Incorporating these variables into the predictive model resulted in areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.812 (95% CI: 0.711-0.913) for the training group and 0.792 (95% CI: 0.667-0.924) for the testing group. The calibration curve and DCA revealed that the model had good accuracy and clinical utility of the model. CONCLUSION: The combination of multimodal ultrasound diagnostic techniques in constructing a predictive model for CK7 expression in ccRCC patients has significant predictive value.

BRCA2-mutated carriers have a high lifetime risk of breast cancer (BC), an early age of onset, and an increased risk of other cancers (including ovarian, pancreatic, and prostate cancer). Almost 70-80% of BRCA2-mutated BC are estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, which is a particular type of ER-positive BC that differs from sporadic ER-positive BC. This article reviews the clinicopathological features, treatment, and prognosis of ER-positive and BRCA2-mutated BC to provide a reference for clinical decision-making.

PURPOSE: To explore the application of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for the diagnosis and grading of bladder urothelial carcinoma (BUC). METHODS: The results of a two-dimensional ultrasound, color Doppler ultrasound and CEUS, were analyzed in 173 bladder lesion cases. The ultrasound and surgical pathology results were compared, and their diagnostic efficacy was analyzed. RESULTS: There were statistically significant differences between BUC and benign lesions in terms of color blood flow distribution intensity and CEUS enhancement intensity (both P < 0.05). The area under the time-intensity curve (AUC), rising slope, and peak intensity of BUC were significantly higher than those of benign lesions (all P < 0.05). The H/T (height H / basal width T)value of 0.63 was the critical value for distinguishing high- and low-grade BUC, had a diagnostic sensitivity of 80.0% and a specificity of 60.0%. CONCLUSION: The combination of CEUS and TIC can help improve the diagnostic accuracy of BUC. There is a statistically significant difference between high- and low-grade BUC in contrast enhancement intensity (P < 0.05); The decrease of H/T value indicates the possible increase of the BUC grade.

Base editors have substantial promise in basic research and as therapeutic agents for the correction of pathogenic mutations. The development of adenine transversion editors has posed a particular challenge. Here we report a class of base editors that enable efficient adenine transversion, including precise A•T-to-C•G editing. We found that a fusion of mouse alkyladenine DNA glycosylase (mAAG) with nickase Cas9 and deaminase TadA-8e catalyzed adenosine transversion in specific sequence contexts. Laboratory evolution of mAAG significantly increased A-to-C/T conversion efficiency up to 73% and expanded the targeting scope. Further engineering yielded adenine-to-cytosine base editors (ACBEs), including a high-accuracy ACBE-Q variant, that precisely install A-to-C transversions with minimal Cas9-independent off-targeting effects. ACBEs mediated high-efficiency installation or correction of five pathogenic mutations in mouse embryos and human cell lines. Founder mice showed 44-56% average A-to-C edits and allelic frequencies of up to 100%. Adenosine transversion editors substantially expand the capabilities and possible applications of base editing technology.

BACKGROUND: Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC) comprises 70%-80% of RCCs. The World Health Organization/International Society of Urology Pathology (WHO/ISUP) classification is the most important prognostic factor for CCRCC. By evaluating the variations of tumor microvascular density, contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) can noninvasively predict the WHO/ISUP grade of CCRCC, and provide the appropriate treatment plan before clinical operation. METHODS: In this study, we used CEUS features to analyze 116 CCRCC cases and assess the value of correlation between each indicator and CCRCC WHO/ISUP grading. RESULTS: When compared to high-grade (WHO/ISUP grade III/IV) tumors, low-grade (WHO/ISUP grade I/II) tumors had reduced relative peak intensity (ΔPI) (P = 0.021), relative area under the curve (ΔAUC) (P = 0.019). However, the frequency of incomplete pseudocapsule (P = 0.021) was significantly higher in high-grade tumors. A cut-off value of mean diameter > 5.5 cm, ΔPI > 304 × 10-3, ΔAUC > 350 × 10-3 allowed identification of high-grade tumors with an area under the curve (AUC) of 74.6%, 71.7%, 70.7%, respectively (95% confidence interval). CONCLUSIONS: The features of CEUS are effective for differentiating high-grade tumors from low-grade tumors, thus CEUS can be considered an acceptable method for the preoperative assessment of tumor grade.

BACKGROUND: Nearly 20% Patients with cyanotic congenital heart disease (CCHD) are not able to receive surgery. These patients experience a decline in cardiac function as they age, which has been demonstrated to be associated with changes in energy metabolism in cardiomyocytes. Trimetazidine (TMZ), a metabolic regulator, is supposed to alleviate such maladaptation and reserve cardiac function in CCHD patients. METHODS: This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Eighty adult CCHD patients will be recruited and randomized to the TMZ (20 mg TMZ 3 times a day for 3 months) or placebo group (placebo 3 times a day for 3 months). The primary outcome is the difference in cardiac ejection fractions (EF) measured by cardiac magnetic resonance (MRI) between baseline and after 3 months of TMZ treatment. The secondary outcomes include TMZ serum concentration, rate of cardiac events, NYHA grading, fingertip SpO2, NT-proBNP levels, 6-minute walking test (6MWT), KCCQ-CSS questionnaire score, echocardiography, ECG, routine blood examination, liver and kidney function test, blood pressure and heart rate. DISCUSSION: This trial is designed to explore whether the application of TMZ in adult CCHD patients can improve cardiac function, reduce cardiac events, and improve exercise performance and quality of life. The results will provide targeted drug therapy for CCHD patients with hypoxia and support the application of TMZ in children with CCHD.

Background: Most of malignant external otitis (MEO) cases reported in the literature are attributed to Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Fungal infections in MEO are also likely but extremely rare. And conventional microbiology tests is difficult to diagnose. Case description: Two patients were diagnosed with Fungal malignant external otitis (FMEO) due to Aspergillus by metagenomic Next-Generation Sequencing (mNGS) and recovered after comprehensive treatment including operation and voriconazole. The antifungal treatment was delayed due to repeated cultures of secretions being negative and pathological examination showed granulation tissue proliferation with extensive neutrophil infiltration. Conclusion: mNGS might be helpful for patients suspected with FMEO, especially when conventional microbiology tests were negative.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are noncoding RNAs with diverse functions. However, most Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb)-related circRNAs remain undiscovered. In this study, we infected THP-1 cells with virulent and avirulent M.tb strains and then sequenced the cellular circRNAs. Bioinformatic analysis predicted 58,009 circRNAs in all the cells. In total, 2035 differentially expressed circRNAs were identified between the M.tb-infected and uninfected THP-1 cells and 1258 circRNAs were identified in the virulent and avirulent M.tb strains. Further, the top 10 circRNAs were confirmed by Sanger sequencing, among which four circRNAs, namely circSOD2, circCHSY1, circTNFRSF21, and circDHTKD1, which were highly differentially expressed in infected cells compared with those in uninfected cells, were further confirmed by ring formation, specific primers, and RNase R digestion. Next, circRNA-miRNA-mRNA subnetworks were constructed, such as circDHTKD1/miR-660-3p/IL-12B axis. Some of the individual downstream genes, such as miR-660-3p and IL-12B, were previously reported to be associated with cellular defense against pathological processes induced by M.tb infection. Because macrophages are important immune cells and the major host cells of M.tb, these findings provide novel ideas for exploring the M.tb pathogenesis and host defense by focusing on the regulation of circRNAs during M.tb infection.

Increasing evidence shows that many human-targeted drugs alter the gut microbiome, leading to implications for host health. However, much less is known about the mechanisms by which drugs target the microbiome and how drugs affect microbial function. Here we combined quantitative microbiome profiling, long-read metagenomics, stable isotope probing and single-cell chemical imaging to investigate the impact of two widely prescribed nervous system-targeted drugs on the gut microbiome. Ex vivo supplementation of physiologically relevant concentrations of entacapone or loxapine succinate to faecal samples significantly impacted the abundance of up to one third of the microbial species present. Importantly, we demonstrate that the impact of these drugs on microbial metabolism is much more pronounced than their impact on abundances, with low concentrations of drugs reducing the activity, but not the abundance of key microbiome members like Bacteroides, Ruminococcus or Clostridium species. We further demonstrate that entacapone impacts the microbiome due to its ability to complex and deplete available iron, and that microbial growth can be rescued by replenishing levels of microbiota-accessible iron. Remarkably, entacapone-induced iron starvation selected for iron-scavenging organisms carrying antimicrobial resistance and virulence genes. Collectively, our study unveils the impact of two under-investigated drugs on whole microbiomes and identifies metal sequestration as a mechanism of drug-induced microbiome disturbance.

Tuberculosis, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tb), remains a significant global health challenge. The survival of M. tb in hostile extracellular and intracellular microenvironments is crucial for its pathogenicity. In this study, we discovered a Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) mutant B1033 that potentially affected mycobacterium pathogenicity. This mutant contained an insertion mutation gene, fadD33, which is involved in lipid metabolism; however, its direct role in regulating M. tb infection is not well understood. Here, we found that the absence of fadD33 reduced BCG adhesion and invasion into human pulmonary alveolar epithelial cells and increased the permeability of the mycobacterial cell wall, allowing M. tb to survive in the low pH and membrane pressure extracellular microenvironment of the host cells. The absence of fadD33 also inhibited the survival of BCG in macrophages by promoting the release of proinflammatory cytokines, such as interleukin (IL)-1ß, IL-6, and tumors necrosis factor-α, through the mitogen-activated protein kinase p38 signaling pathway. Overall, these findings provide new insights into M. tb mechanisms to evade host defenses and might contribute to identifying potential therapeutic and vaccine targets for tuberculosis prevention.

Deep-tissue chemical imaging plays a vital role in biological and medical applications. Here, we present a shortwave infrared photothermal (SWIP) microscope for millimeter-deep vibrational imaging with sub-micron lateral resolution and nanoparticle detection sensitivity. By pumping the overtone transition of carbon-hydrogen bonds and probing the subsequent photothermal lens with shortwave infrared light, SWIP can obtain chemical contrast from polymer particles located millimeter-deep in a highly scattering phantom. By fast digitization of the optically probed signal, the amplitude of the photothermal signal is shown to be 63 times larger than that of the photoacoustic signal, thus enabling highly sensitive detection of nanoscale objects. SWIP can resolve the intracellular lipids across an intact tumor spheroid and the layered structure in millimeter-thick liver, skin, brain, and breast tissues. Together, SWIP microscopy fills a gap in vibrational imaging with sub-cellular resolution and millimeter-level penetration, which heralds broad potential for life science and clinical applications.

BACKGROUND: Four Fanconi anemia (FA) genes (BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2 and RAD51C) are defined as breast cancer (BC) susceptibility genes. Other FA genes have been inconsistently associated with BC. Thus, the role of other FA genes in BC should be explored in specific populations. METHODS: Mutations in 16 FA genes were screened with a 98-gene panel sequencing assay in a cohort of 1481 Chinese patients with high-risk hereditary BC. The association between mutations and clinicopathological characteristics as well as prognosis was analyzed. The risk of BC in carriers of FA gene mutations was assessed in the Genome Aggregation Database and the Westlake Biobank for Chinese cohort. RESULTS: A total of 2.57% (38/1481) BC patients were identified who had 12 other FA gene germline mutations. Among them, the most frequently mutated gene was FANCA (8/1481, 0.54%). These 38 patients carried 35 distinct pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants, of which 21 were novel. We found one rare FANCB deleterious variant (c.1327-3dupT) in our cohort. There was a statistically significant difference in lymph node status between FA gene mutation carriers and non-carriers (p = 0.041). We observed a trend that mutation carriers had larger tumor sizes, lower estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) positivity rates, and lower 3.5-year invasive disease-free survival (iDFS) and distant recurrence-free survival (DRFS) rates than non-carriers (tumor size > 2 cm: 51.43% vs. 45.63%; ER positivity rates: 51.43% vs. 60.81%; PR positivity rates: 48.57% vs. 55.16%; 3.5-year iDFS rates: 58.8% vs. 66.7%; 3.5-year DRFS rates: 58.8% vs. 68.8%). The frequency of the mutations in FANCD2, FANCM and BRIP1 trended to be higher among BC cases than that in controls (p = 0.055, 0.08 and 0.08, respectively). CONCLUSION: This study comprehensively estimated the prevalence, clinicopathological characteristics, prognosis and risk of BC associated with deleterious variants in FA genes in Chinese high-risk hereditary BC patients. It enriches our understanding of the role of FA genes with BC.
